First Verse
I’ve never been a fan or easily influenced
By someone who says one thing but never gonna do it
I’ve never understood why some just don’t have the courage
To say what’s on their mind, and be honest about their burdens
It really has me hurtin how so many people perpin
That’s why my only role model is The Suffering Servant
If a person is hurtin, how you gonna take advantage
We should be learnin to serve em, but instead we causin damage
Claimin we too busy, so we constantly ignore em
Too scared to tell the truth and just tell them they not important
It’s tough to make disciples if you constantly are tourin
some cats should stay at home, I know that concept is so foreign
How can we read epistles and then be superficial?
If you can't benefit em they'll likely choose to dismiss you
We fail to love each other and this is certainly grieving me
How can we expect to love God who we can't even see?
You know what? It’s so bugged, we can talk love, let’s show love
No grudge, mo(re) hugs, it’s time to grow up
Admit we are too selfish, and start being more selfless
Let’s start makin a change if you heard this and you felt this

Second Verse
The city of brotherly love- is Philly hardly
I never intended for this to be a pity party
Plenty of people are suffering with worse conditions
I have been called by God to speak on hurt N afflictions
So many kids molested, it often is incest- it’s
Terrible and ugly, was reminded watching Precious
Many kids neglected, they suffer with depression
Contemplatin everyday on when they gonna end it
We should have a burden for people who are defenseless
Be caring and attentive and offering our friendship
Before you get defensive, let me end my message
You’ll see a perfect example if you look at our shepherd!
He was healing lepers, and others who’were rejected
Rolled with 12 guys, in their lives, He was invested
But when He needed them most.. and to see them awoke
His friends all let him down, and fell asleep while His foes
Arrested, beat and mocked him, betrayed by Judas his friend
Then Peter denied him, three times, afraid of the men
So the statement this sends, is that Christ identifies with
All our broken relationships, which are just sent to try us
We weren’t meant to be alone but a part of a community
We fall short in this area so I’m teaching bout unity
A faithful friend, Proverbs say is hard to find
Man will always disappoint, so I trust in God divine
