Give It Up
04:06
|
|||
Give It Up by Believin Stephen
Produced by Tee Wyla
FIRST VERSE
How we gonna kick God off of the throne?
When he’s the one who made the throne and He made it alone
He ain’t need no help He made all things by Himself
The only true God there is nobody else!!
We wish we were God and we crave the control
Until we’re gray and we’re old but we’re incapable bols
If we had it our way, man our way it would fold
Because we’re blatantly fools, but still He’s saving our souls
Think we’d be doing it better because we’re dudes who are clever?
Go try for ONE day to be ruling the weather
And maneuver endeavors much better than God
Man we’d fail so hard cuz we are wretched and frauds
And whatever our cause our best efforts are flawed
Man we all fall short of His measuring rod
Brindle is that what you’re rappin again?
Yea I gotta speak up it keeps happenin again
(What you mean?) God’s fed up from our arrogance
Guess we inherit this, from our parents it’s
Still no excuse for our carelessness
It’s in Americans in all heritage(s)
It’s obvious we are some narcissists
And God is dissed , yo we are not convinced
Of his plots and twists, we are idolatrous
(So what now?) We need to repent and be washed and rinsed
HOOK (Repeated 2x)
So we die to our pride and we give it up
He’s why we’re alive so we give it up
All props go to Christ so we give it up
God is our delight so we give it up
SECOND VERSE
If you think I’m only putting others on blast
Then you got it all wrong, my sin’s disgusting and trash
Cuz my lusting is wack and plus my covetous acts
Put Christ on the cross where He suffered the wrath
And I haven’t denied that I battle with pride
Cuz I know how it feels when you snap on a rhyme
When your rapping is tight and the track it is fly
And you’re askin for shine, but the flesh has to die
But even if I don’t boast in a song
Or say I’m the best when I’m flowing along
Inwardly I can be proud and I know that it’s wrong
Can’t be self-reliant and then grow to be strong
Our boasting’s not good, yea be deadin that stuff
Did you not know a little leaven, leavens the lump? (the whole thing)
Can’t brag of our faith, can’t brag of our deeds
Our daddy is great and He happens to be
The only true God who we owe our dependence
Collapse to our knees, go show some repentance
In CHH, how is it accepted?
But when I look in Scriptures it is wicked and wretched
You’re boasting a lot but nah you can’t afford to…
Be humble or God will do it for you
You’re boasting a lot but nah you can’t afford to
Be humble or God will do it for you
HOOK (Repeated 2x)
So we die to our pride and we give it up
He’s why we’re alive so we give it up
All props go to Christ so we give it up
God is our delight so we give it up
THIRD VERSE
I don’t really see this as up for debate
But when you boastin in self you aint trusting with faith
Nah you trusting in you and trusting ya crew
But under the sun we know nothing is new
We are glory thieves and it’s something we do
If we look in the past we see others did too
We’ve been glory thieves since Adam and Eve
Cain killed Abel, he was mad as can be
At the Tower of Babel, cats wanted to reach
The height of God’s glory, straight blasphemy
Depraved hearts and we’re carrying grudges
Our rulers been evil and I’m sharing from Judges
They did was right in their own eyes
But that led to their plight and their own demise
We’ll look at Herrod plus Nebuchadnezzar
And see what happens to men who are clever
If there was one who had reason to boast
It was Jesus, but go peep what He spoke
Controller of winds and the seas and the boats
God in the flesh but what I’m reading the most
He ain’t boast in Himself but did boast in the Father
He came as a lamb that was broken and slaughtered
Truly defining the meaning of humble
He gave up His life for those evil who stumble!
HOOK
So we die to our pride and we give it up
He’s why we’re alive so we give it up
All props go to Christ so we give it up
God is our delight so we give it up
BRIDGE
We ain’t givin up, but we give it up
We ain’t giving up, but we give it up
Yea our own glory man we give it up
Yea we give it up, and we lift HIM up!!

Who Gets the Glory?
04:47
|
|||
Who Gets the Glory? By Believin Stephen
Produced by Profound
For they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God- John 12:43 We all gotta check our motives man, including myself. Who’s getting the glory and shine when we make music? Is it us or is it God yo?
FIRST VERSE
We love the praise of men more than the praise of God
We say we praise Him, but really want a break from God
Cause we’re depraved and flawed, our ways are wrong, you think my sayings odd
But then we claim church is boring and it’s way too long
But we rarely say that when the game is on
And we rarely say that about some babes in thongs
Could it be that your refusal to stand?
For God’s glory is cause you want the approval of man?
And if you are distinct, you’ll be losing some fans
(Cause) They might not buy your product, nor be choosing your brand
The world hates Christ plus the news of His plan
Because it loves sin, and they doin they thang!
(Uhhh)They want a Christ that allows them to be
Straight up stuck in their sin and live how they may please
They don’t wanna Christ who got rowdy decrees
And they don’t wanna Christ that makes them bow to their knees
(What they want?) They wanna Christ who is down with their steez
But tell em “deny self” and they’ll bounce and they’ll flee
Loving comfort and pleasure more than they loving God
It’s a narrow way, road to destruction is broad
Don’t be independent, be dependent, heed the lesson
He’s perfection, flee depression whenever I seek His presence
His glory He will not give to no other
His glory is the highest we have to go under
Let’s be honest, if your pompous, He could off us
In a second, and He wants us, to be modest, and not godless
When approaching God modesty is required
Ask Nadab and Abihu they got caught up in the fire
It’s clear a prideful heart, is not what God desires
We need to be humble like the prophets and Messiah
When you get the props does He get any credit?
Or do you say forget it, you’re tremendous, He’s neglected
HOOK (Repeat 2x)
Who gets the glory when you’re spittin your bars?
Who gets the glory are you lifting up God?
Who gets the glory when you’re rippin it hard?
Do you give it to yourself? Or do you give it God?
SECOND VERSE
We live this life for the likes and the follows
(and uh) We live this life like there is no tomorrow
Despite the plight of fallen earth, and the strife and the sorrow
This life isn’t ours nah this life it is borrowed
We want the props and the recognition
Sometimes we even stop and we forget we are Christian
When our album drops, we’re like, “you better listen”
Say it isn’t hot tho? Then we’re steady dissin
Look at our thoughts, you’ll see we’re wretched sinning
We want our spots on charts and television
I don’t wanna argue whether God is mentioned
But we gotta ask ourselves, what’s our hearts intentions?
No matter the topic that we start addressing
Does God get the glory? That’s the obvious question
We gotta ask what’s the motive of our songs?
Are we willing to change if we notice that it’s wrong?
Who gets the glory at our shows when we go on?
Who gets the glory when we’re flowin all night long?
What’s scary is even if Christ is our focus
We trample his glory if in our lives it is bogus
We trample His glory if we get self-righteous
And look down on others, Pharisees fell like this
But we trample His glory if we’re ashamed of His name
And the chase for more fame is straight up making us change
So I state and proclaim that our Savior does reign
God deserves the glory and He’s made it so plain
No matter your content, examine yourselves
You care bout God or just managing sales?
No matter your content examine yourselves
You care bout God or just managing sales?
No matter your content examine yourselves
You care bout God or just managing sales?
HOOK: Repeat 2x
Who gets the glory when you’re spittin your bars?
Who gets the glory are you lifting up God?
Who gets the glory when you’re rippin it hard?
Do you give it to yourself? Or do you give it God?

Glory Thieves
03:35
|
|||
Glory Thieves by Believin Stephen Brindle
Produced by Joshua Heath
Chea. I’ve been quiet too long. It’s time to speak up. We’ve gotta stop stealing God’s glory.
I don't gotta crew no promotional team
And I'm not the type of guy that when you show me the cream
I ain't gonna act different, man you know what I mean
But most wanna blow up, yo I know that's their dream
Uhhh..let's be honest fam I notice the scene
And So I'ma speak my mind as I'm flowing with schemes
And hold nothin back I'ma say what's true
Some rappers get funny actin fake round dudes
With notoriety, they'll even change their views
As long as they can be down with their favorite crew
Beggin like homeless men who will beg for food
They kissing up for attention, that's what pagans do
Uhh..matter fact that's what a lame would do
If this describes you homie then it's shame on you
Commit your work unto God and be patient too
And be thankful to the Lord for the faithful few
And keep it 100 bol have some integrity
Do you rap for God or do you rap for the enemy?
Is your main goal to get some dap from celebrities?
I'm asking you questions like Alex from Jeopardy
You're boastin a lot but will you rap bout the remedy?
This whole scene's gotten wack as an entity!!!
You curse in your rhymes yet you say it is relevant
You know you are trippin, homie stay in your element
Who on earth do you claim that this benefits?
Go point them to Christ whose ways are benevolent
Many ways to do it, sure use creativity
But leave Christ out though, it weakens your ministry
I'm just saying to beware and be cautious
CHH is a popularity contest
Some do it for fame, not caring what God said
Don't get me started on prosperity nonsense
They're teaching em lies man they're phony and fraudulent
Tickling their ears and they know that they'll fall for it
When it comes to rap there is so many politics
Let's talk about it I ain't scared to acknowledge it
So much wackness, I’m prepared to call it quits
Gotta trust God though and not my accomplishments
For an indie artist it can be brutal
If you don't ever get that stamp of approval
It's a game full of cliques, if they don't vouch for you
You'll probably go unnoticed, man I've found this true (How come?)
Cause they don't care bout bars like a dry town
They don't care bout bars lemme find out
They don't care bout bars like Planet Fitness
They don't care bout bars like Richard Simmons
All they care bout is sales man I am a witness
They don't care bout Christ fam and it's sickening
The focus ain't on the truth and the content
The focus nowadays is on who is the hottest
As long as the flow's tight, man dude's will applaud this
I’m sick to my stomach yo truly I'm nauseous
I'm all about people makin the art dope
And having a hard flow, but what about God though?
When you write your rhymes is he even considered?
Or do you want the shine do you even remember?
That you were once dead and a sickening sinner
But Christ died for you so now you've been delivered
How did you believe? Someone preached to you
So how will they believe if you don't preach good news?
What they gonna hear out the speakers dude?
Do you reach them for Christ or reach them for you?
Uhhh. Jesus on the cross was murdered
But call someone a Christian rapper now, it's a curse word
Ahh I get it, don't box you in
Man we're all in a box, but which box you in?
(Uhh) Don't drop the title so you sneak more evil
If you drop the title then go reach more people
So is it for God we're rising?
Or are you just straight up compromising?
What type of fire are you authorizing?
Do we hide who we are, are we always lying?
Are we showin love or just ostracizing?
People need Christ, they gettin shot and dying
Man it feels like our genres dyin!
Do we just rep ourselves or the God of Zion?
You might think I'm beatin a dead horse
This songs not about wishing Jesus was said more
The real reason why went and wrote this
Is cause we all really gotta check our motives!
Getting sick of this pragmatism
Man go ahead and call yourself a rapping Christian
Just make sure you’re still actin Christian
Let’s not be phony and be some ACTIN Christians
You want acceptance, don’t want the rejection
Even though Christ said the world would reject us
You want the respect, connections, I get it
I’m questioning methods, cause where is the message?
I’m just saying, don’t call it ministry
If there’s no Christ, and you offer no remedy
I’m all about bringing God to the industry
So teach them correctly like Paul did to Timothy!!
I’m just saying, don’t call it ministry
If there’s no Christ, and you offer no remedy
I’m all about bringing God to the industry
So teach them correctly like Paul did to Timothy!!

Sees Our Pain
05:07
|

Believin Stephen- Sees Our Pain off Glory Thieves Album
Produced by Braille
Scratches by DJ Average Joe
Intro
I’m not exempt from stealing God’s glory
Nah not at all
I gotta put myself on blast on this one
First Verse
All this pain it has gotten monotonous
And this game, it is all about politics
Thoughts in my brain, like yo what’s the cause of this?
It’s time for change, so let’s get the problem fixed
Could it be that I keep facing the same test?
And could it be that I keep FAILING the same test?
And could it be that I will be found faithless?
Why when I’m wrong, do I always tend to blame shift?
I’m not a super Christian, more like a stupid Christian
If you knew all my sin, you’d be like dudes a Christian?
When I was 13 I was depressed clinically
Everyday in anguish, I felt stress and misery
But God had a purpose and plan before my infancy
I never thought that I’d be blessed with a ministry
But will I let it get wrecked by iniquity (Will I?)
Cuz I ain’t been killin sin, but sin been killin me!
Am I fallin in sin or am I divin in it?
Holy Spirit piercing my mind so I’m convicted
It’s only by faith, I seek Him with dependence
I go to His throne of grace I’m needing repentance
I know this may sound certainly crazy
But I’m saved by grace cuz my works couldn’t save me
Unless we’re talkin Christ’s work on the cross
Where He was deserted and mocked and murked for the lost!
Hook- Scratches by DJ Average Joe
My heart grieves and it aches
I’m needing to pray
My heart grieves and it aches
Man He sees all our pain
Second Verse
Sometimes I wonder did God forget about me?
Or is it that He’s actually upset about me?
You ever feel like life is passing you by?
Even though you working hard and you actually try
Making you perplexed and all baffled inside
Feeling frustrated, getting sad so you cry
God’s blessing all your peers, so you’re asking Him why?
Why don’t you bless me too?, you gasp with a sigh
Perhaps He never will, yea I battle that lie
You know you’ll go to heaven though after you die
But right now you are lackin contentment
You have to pretend it but mad with resentment
And so you wrestle with your circumstances
Full of anxiety in a nervous panic
More emotion, heart torn and broken
God I’m beggin you for a door to open!! (Please God!!)
Cuz time after time the door keeps closing
So I justify sin as porn gets opened
So full of mercy Christ enters my mess
So I cling to the cross where He’s sentenced to death
The kingdom is given to those poor in Spirit
That’s starting to sink in the more I hear it
I hope it shows in my life, this is more than lyrics
God should get the glory, not my works or merits!
Hook- Scratches by DJ Average Joe
My heart grieves and it aches
I’m needing to pray
My heart grieves and it aches
Man He sees all our pain
Third Verse
I know it hurts when it ends bad with your girl
But why’d you have to go back to the world?
You’re worth more to Christ than some cash or some pearls
So I gotta get my preach(er) on like cats doin curls
Seems like yesterday we were reading the Word
And now you’re sayin that you’re leaving the Lord
Spirit Man, you are feedin Him less
But your sin keeps growing, you keep feeding the flesh
It hurts because I love you, wanna see you be blessed
But that path you are on, it is leading to death
Some of my friends have been leaving the faith
I guess they really felt a strong need to escape
My heart grieves and it aches, man I’m needin to pray
So I stay on the floor until my knees bein scraped
“I love you God”, man that’s easy to say
But it’s harder to live in a season of pain
When you’re stuck in a rut you see the need for a change
But Jesus died and the reason He came
So we could be changed, man He sees all our pain
He died for our sins so believe that with faith
So abide in Christ, don’t hide the light
Do you know where you are going if God called you to die tonight?
Well I hope you do and that’s the reason why I write
Resist the pride of life, God’s with you as we try to fight
Hook- Scratches by DJ Average Joe
My heart grieves and it aches
I’m needing to pray
My heart grieves and it aches
Man He sees all our pain

Answer is No
04:57
|

“Answer is No” by Believin Stephen from ‘Glory Thieves’ Album
Produced by JRhodan
First Verse
Where do you go when the answer is no?
When you been praying for warmth but then the answer is snow? (snow)
Where do you go when the answer is no?
When you wanting it fast, but then the answer is slow? (slow)
What do you do when the answer is no?
When you praying for healing but then the cancer just grows? (grows)
Where do you go when the answer is no?
Do you run to the Lord or just plan to go smoke? (smoke)
Where do you go when the answer is no?
Do you chill all alone or wit your mans and your bros? (bros)
What do you do when the answer is no?
When the bills are all due but you ran out of dough? (dough)
Where do you go when the answer is no?
When you prayin for a wife but then you standing alone? (lone)
Where do you go when the answer is no?
When you callin on God but He don’t answer the phone? (phone)
HOOK (Repeated 2x)
Where do you go when the answer is no?
When you been praying for warmth but then the answer is snow?
Where do you go when the answer is no?
When you wanting it fast, but then the answer is slow?
Second Verse
I’m asking tough questions, and I also am wrestling
Sittin here reflecting, it’s not easy to digest em
Manifestin in depression from this topic I’m addressin
Confessin that I’m stressin, will I ever learn my lesson?
Is God holding back my blessing cuz I didn’t heed correction?
I wanna see acceptance, but I wrestle with rejection
I’m prayin all the time, am I wasting my time?
Sayin this rhyme, cause I got so much pain balled up inside
I keep playing rewind inside my brain and my mind
And it’s making me sigh, will I change before I die?
Too much rain and no shine, so I break down and cry
For your presence I strive, but your face you do hide
You are able to provide, and you’re great and divine
Help me to remain in the vine, make my faith more alive
I’ve suffered loss and frustration, and I’m not all that patient
So I’m pausing and praying, then I’m watching and waitin (waitin)
HOOK (Repeated 2x)
Where do you go when the answer is no?
When you been praying for warmth but then the answer is snow?
Where do you go when the answer is no?
When you wanting it fast, but then the answer is slow?
Third Verse
I’m spittin intricate, in prayer God is intimate
Am I the only one who finds himself in this predicament?
Honestly I’m sick of it it’s like I am predicting it
He gonna say no though, but where is my persistence kid?
If we ask for a loaf, he won’t give us a stone
But what if what we thought was a loaf though, was really a stone?
So we were praying for a stone but then He gave us a loaf
But then we moan and we groan, cuz we didn’t get the stone, Ohhh!!
He knows what I need, even before I go ask Him
And Jesus intercedes on my behalf with much passion
And what if He says, “NO”, it means YES for something else
Am I willing to still go, or am I stuck all about self?
And what if He says “NO”, it’s only for my protection?
Cuz he wants me to grow, and refocus my attention
And my affections upon the giver and not just the gift
That’s idolatry, I’m guilty I gotta admit
When I be prayin, I be demanding a great day
Sometimes in His purpose and plan, He lets the pain stay
If I don’t understand, will I start to nay say?
If I knew what He knew, I’d be answering the same way!
Even when God does delay and is distant
I still know that it is true, His grace is sufficient
If I had my way I’d be arranging it different
But gotta trust God though; in His way there is wisdom
HOOK (Repeated 2x)
Where do you go when the answer is no?
When you been praying for warmth but then the answer is snow?
Where do you go when the answer is no?
When you wanting it fast, but then the answer is slow?

Robbers of Glory
06:37
|
|||
Robbers of Glory by Believin Stephen off the Glory Thieves album
Produced by DJ Average Joe (both tracks)
Intro
Let’s talk a look at some cats from the Bible who tried to rob God of His glory and give it to themselves… and see how their stories turn out in the end. Average Joe on the beat; let’s get it!!
First Verse
This is the story of Herod the robber (Acts 12)
A wicked man who you probably wouldn’t want to marry your daughter
Herod got mad at the people of Tyre and Sidon
They pleaded for peace cuz they wasn’t tryin to fight him
Not trying to beef but striving for peace
They were under Roman yoke so they still desired to eat
People liked his decrees, he got up high on a seat
To address the people because he was writing a speech
He (Herod) gave an oration of perfect duration
And after his statements got a standing ovation
The crowds kept yelling, “this is the voice of a god”
But boy they were wrong because he surely was flawed
Herod was struck by an angel he’s breathing his last
His body cut like a bagel, he’s defeated and smashed
Don’t be repeating his path, but please flee from the wrath
He deceased it was fast, and if you’re needing to ask
“How come?”, it’s cause he was robbin God’s glory
Cuz he was acting like Kobe, when he’s Robert Horry (uhhh)
Humility he was needing to learn
His pride was futility his body was eaten by worms
So what’s the lesson? It’s believe and then turn
To Jesus, and be urgent cause that heat it will burn
Herod thought the credit was really all mine
So God put him to death cuz He was stealing His shine
Hook
This is the story of robbers of glory
And the lessons that come as we walk through the stories
This is the story of robbers of glory
And the lessons that come as we walk through the stories
This is the story of robbers of glory
So let’s walk through the stories, let’s walk through the stories
This is the story of robbers of glory
So let’s walk through the stories, let’s walk through the stories
Second Verse
Nebuchadnezzar was a blasphemous fool his actions were bold
He was passing some rules about a statue of gold
You refused to bow and you weren’t trying to worship
Then you got cast into the burning fiery furnace
Three Hebrews tossed in, these young guys didn’t deserve this
No ice or a Thermos so why aren’t they nervous?
The boys untouched by the flames, now Neb is in awe
He realized this act came from the power of God
But then he’s boasting in self thinking he’s the smartest
He would show off his wealth, but then his kingdom is departed
He thought Babylon was the glory of his majesty
But he was sadly wrong cause the story is a tragedy
God makes his dwelling with the beasts of the field
He’s needing to yield to God, so He sees that he kneels
And he acts like a fox or a beast or an animal
Eating grass like an ox without reading the manual
He gazed through his lenses then his reason returned
And he came to his senses now he seeks and he yearns
To bless the most high and his immaculate kingdom
Because His dominion’s an everlasting dominion
I was talking like a fool, or a donkey or a mule
But now I realize that He is sovereign and He rules
Neb’s kingdom is restored, now he listens to the Lord
God had to humble him, and now His wisdom he adores!!
Transition
So we saw the consequences of Herod and Nebuchadnezzar robbing God’s glory. Let’s take a look at the story of Saul of Tarsus (beat changes)
Third Verse
This is the story of Saul of Taurus the robber (check it)
When it came to righteousness the Jews called him a father
Seen as fervent in wisdom and murdering Christians
He’s earnest to kill em, even murking the children (brutal)
If you’re following the Way, then Saul was gonna slay
At all hours of the day, cuz he thought it was ok
Saul was known as the leader of persecution
And at the stoning of Stephen he was approving (STONE HIM!)
When it came to killing Christians, no one surpassed this
He was going the fastest on the road to Damascus
But then a light from the Lord shown then he asked this?
Why do you persecute me? You know that it’s backwards
He tried to gain the favor of God by obeying the law
But failed to realize he was a hater of God
His name was once Saul but God changed it to Paul
He had blinders on but God was taking them off
He was once blind but his sight regained and he saw
The grace of our God so His greatness He awed
God uttered and proclaimed he would suffer for His name
They were beating him with rods and then clubbing at his brain
He counted all as loss because nothing else remained
Apart from knowing Christ because something in Him changed
He was hungering in pain, in the thunder and the rain
In the dungeon and in chains in abundance of much strain
He was whipped 39 times, five times
That’s one hundred and ninety five times for the divine shine
Also taught humility by his thorn in the flesh
And anxiety almost wore him to death
So be humble like Kendrick, and don’t trust in aesthetics
And take none of the credit, because the Son is who gets it
You wanna rob His glory you could run for the exit
Because He died for our sins to the Son we’re indebted
So stop boasting again and be opposing your sin
And draw closer to Him in devotion my friend
The victory is ours man we know we will win (That’s right)
He’ll exult us, if not now, at the close and the end (He will)
So be mourning and weeping in the morning and evening
In all four of the seasons, He gives glorious freedom
He’s forgiving our treason, the Lord we will see Him
And the gospel is the greatest story’s the reason
Hook (Repeat 2x)
This is the story of robbers of glory
And the lessons that come as we walk through the stories
When we’re giving props let’s be deflecting the praise
And redirect the gaze to His credit always
BRIDGE (Repeat 2x)
This is the story of robbers of glory
And the many lessons that come as we walk through the stories
So whatchu learn as we walked through the stories?
So whatchu learn as we walked through the stories?

Crown Down by Believin Stephen feat. Ant Coughlin off ‘Glory Thieves’ album
Produced by Thai Beats
Intro
Sermon Sample by Matt Chandler
Revelation 21:23 says the consummation of all things is that God might be praised! This is the story of the Bible
Not you, not me, God, God alone, God’s name alone, God’s glory alone, Not you and me!!!
Hook- Ant Coughlin
I see you out here trying (Why you trying?)
Please.. homie put the crown down!
People out here dyin and you out here stuntin
Man why you want em buyin that? Crown down!
You can tell that I’m a hater-go and tell em that
Go and tell that I’m a hater- go and tell em that
If we give it up now we’ll be wearing it later
Wearing it later when He brings the crown down
First Verse- Ant Coughlin
I see we eatin, hungry for glory
Wearin that crown like we’re runnin it for Him
Let’s keep it one hundred cuz…ummmm
I was just wonderin when you would tell em the story
That one where He came to the earth took a frame made of dirt
Made claims like, “I am the judge and I am the jury”
Why should we care about all of that other stuff? (other stuff)
When none of it could ever save us from fury
Tell of His grace, show us His face or give us that faith and assurance
We need insurance (Yup!)
We need the truth that will preach to the choir and free from the circus
Freaks from the circus
Steeped with his blood and they geeked just to tell how He purchased
Souls upon souls upon souls filled with His ghost
Still it’s boasting in Jesus we worship (Uhhh..huh)
I don’t know what you doin we purchased
HOOK- Ant Coughlin
I see you out here trying (Why you trying?)
Please.. homie put the crown down!
People out here dyin and you out here stuntin
Man why you want em buyin that? Crown down!
You can tell that I’m a hater-go and tell em that
Go and tell that I’m a hater- go and tell em that
If we give it up now we’ll be wearing it later
Wearing it later
Psalm 106:6-8 says “Yet He saved them for His name”
Second Verse
Ok let me be clearer I can see me when I look in the mirror
Don’t need more assistance
I mean if we’re fishing for men then we shouldn’t be giving em
Wisdom we made with our hands
Made with our hands? I mean what good is it
Good is it that it puts people in stands?
People in stands? Put up yo hands
Uhh.. tell me who they came for you or the lamb?
Isn’t He worthy of all that He gave you ?
Remember He saved us and laced us with something to say
What gets us rowdy?
Soli=Deo- …I guess we forgot it
I’m being honest think of what’ll burn up
Umm what we do for the king or the turn up?
All I wanna know is where the light go?
How they gonna know if we don’t tell em…that’s psycho (that’s psycho)
That’s psycho how they gonna know if we don’t tell em..that’s psycho
Third Verse- Believin Stephen
Yea that’s psycho, you got a tight flow
You keep shootin out fire (heat) like a Pyro
We’re micro, He’s Maestro
Boastin? You really need to cut it out like lipo (Liposuction)
Oh you the best? Where’s that in the Bible?
Is that in the text? Help me to find yo
I cannot see it, I must be blind tho
Man…tell em Jesus saves more than Geico
They call me Christian hip-hop 5-0
Cause I know that they all gassed up like Nitro
Oh you the goat? Nah that’s Michael (Jordan)
Why do you boast? You know it aint right bro
Oh you the best? That is invalid
Oh you the best? Who are you? Khaled?
God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble
So put your crown down before He’s makin it crumble!
Before He’s makin it crumble
Put your crown down before He’s makin it crumble!! (CANNON!!)

Vain Glory Interlude feat. Brian Davis off ‘Glory Thieves’ album
Sermon “Giving That God Sees” by Brian Davis on October 21,2018 at Risen Christ Fellowship in Philadelphia, PA
Website: rcfphilly.com
If you tell me you don’t long for self-glory I simply don’t believe you. You do need to be warned against this. You do need to be admonished about this because Jesus thinks we need to be and He knows us best. The old-school phrase for this kind of self-seeking, this abundant pride that’s out for self, was “vain-glory”
Living for the praise of people suffocates faith. So in John 12:43 he says they actually love the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God. Indeed it is identified as the way opposite of a follower of Jesus…to be about your own thing or to care about what people say about you. Paul in Galatians 1:10- He says, For am I now seeking the approval of man or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were trying to please man I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ.
Because when someone lives for the glory of people, they’re, in essence perverting the entire purpose of life. The entire purpose of everything; which is exclusively for the glory of God. It’s as though in doing that we’re seeking to re-arrange the very created order. To kind of demote God from being at the center of all things and promote man to being in His place. Because what you’re suggesting when we do this is that what man says of us is significantly more important than what God says of us. We’re actually saying that from us, and through us, and to us are all things; to us be the glory forever; and there’s no Amens at the end of that one.
To make anything we do about us and our glory is sinful, it’s backwards and it’s foolish. No nothing is about us. Friend, I hope you understand that nothing in your life is about you. Whether you’re a Christian or not a Christian it’s true. Because you’re not yours, you didn’t make you, you didn’t make the universe, you didn’t make the sky, you didn’t make the planets, you didn’t make anything.; it’s not FROM you so it cannot be FOR you. As the Psalmist says in Psalm 115, “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory.”
That’s how people work rightly when they want God to be glorified only. It’s to put to death our pride, to crucify ourselves, that we might have Christ and be found in him. This is what Jesus did. Though He never sought His own glory He died as one who did. He died as if an enemy of God when He was not. He died as if He was a glory thief when He was not.
Because when you don’t give him thanks for what He’s done we give US thanks for what we’ve done. And that puts us at odds with Him. It seeks to reduce or shrink Him to our size as if that was possible. And God says, “I will not have that. No my wrath is reserved for that. My wrath gets revealed against that.” And Jesus took that wrath for His people. Not so that they can keep on being vain glory thieves…glory seekers…No to make us different!
Like you know the people of God who know God most when they want God’s glory to be most reserved to Him. Because they know He’s the only one who deserves it. That’s why the most heavenly place- heaven is NOT about a glory battle but everybody there fully totally recognizes from the seraphim to the lowest saint, who deserves all the glory! (who deserves all the glory!)

Glories of Heaven by Believin Stephen feat. Eric McAlister from “Glory Thieves” album
First Verse
I need to mention
We can’t handle the brightness of God, like Darkseekers up in ‘I Am Legend’
In His presence everyone is like “Woe is Me”
Too strong is His potency, we get wrecked totally
So for heaven I be feenin like Jodeci
I’ll see Christ face to face and He’ll notice me!! (So dope!!)
We’ll look more like Christ than Jim Caviezel (Passion of the Christ)
Our glorified bodies will be like Vin, man they’re diesel! (Vin Diesel)
We don’t deserve this because our sinning’s evil
Look at our deeds, man we are guilty people
Who else is (real) geeked about going to heaven?
We’ll be with our King, and we’ll soak up His presence
And what makes it even doper and precious
This joy lasts forever, we know it is endless
Oh yea this is ultimate bliss!
The state of the saints how we all will exist
We’ll never get hungry because God is our dish
But if you don’t get in you’ll feel salty and dissed
Am I in a dream, nah don’t worry it’s real
I’ll see Him face to face, His glory is revealed!
At first I’m thinkin that I might be frightened
But then I’ll be blown away when my mind is enlightened
His great plan is no longer a mystery
He knows all my history, but gives marvelous victory!
Hook by Eric McAllister (Repeat 2x)
Beauty beyond what our mind’s could imagine
Peace and joy everlasting
I can’t wait till it happens
We’ll see the Savior!!
Second Verse
We’re faulty for sure but we all will be pure
Let’s fall on the floor and exult him some more
No longer ignore better call on the Lord
Come to Jesus, in His arms you’re secure
On earth here my mind is full of worry
But victory’s the war report, like Capone N Nore
Check Revelation because John told the story
There is no more waiting, we will behold His glory
We’ll never get older, no wrinkle or blemish
Completely forgiven, due to gift of repentance
Without faith though you’re missin the entrance
Without Jesus hell’s prison is your sentence
Before Christ we were mangled and worthless
But in heaven, next to angels we’ll worship
Seraphim and cherubim couldn’t stare at him
But we’ll sing next to them like we’re caroling
We all know Satan’s blatantly a liar
His fate has been acquired, bakin in the lake of fire
No more suffering and pain, no more thundering and rain
No more sickness and disease, no more affliction it will cease
No more bribing or lying, and no more dying
Admiring Him in Zion, He’s shining so I’m desiring I am
And no more fightin or violence, and no more wining or cryin
His glory brighter than diamonds and that is why I am rhyming!
Hook by Eric McAllister (Repeat 2x)
Beauty beyond what our mind’s could imagine
Peace and joy everlasting
I can’t wait till it happens
We’ll see the Savior!!
Third Verse
In America many guys are racist
But in heaven we’ll see every tribe and language (Racism..out!!)
Our Savior Jesus suffered, died in anguish
So we can live forever cause our lives they are ageless
It’s quite clear that He is divine fully
Pure perfection He’s three times holy!! (Holy, holy, holy)
Riding on a white horse, He’s faithful and true
It’s incomprehensible what He’s able to do
His eyes like fire, robe dipped in blood
We’re totally forgiven through his gift of love
We’ll all bow down while shouting He’s Lord
Destroying enemies from His mouth there’s a sword
Digest the divine text, the line says
That he’s gonna crush his foes and tread the winepress
You flex your biceps and your triceps
But you’re too small, you will bow to His highness
Feet like bronze, and His hair’s like wool
Peep how strong Christ’s incomparable
He’s Alpha and Omega, we’re bowin to our Savior
He’s powerful and greater, He’s devouring His haters –
Hallelujah!!!! The Almighty Reigns (Rev.19)
Let us rejoice cause Christ He was slain
Give him glory at the marriage of the lamb
We’re at His supper but should perish and be damned!!
Hook by Eric McAllister (Repeat 2x)
Beauty beyond what our mind’s could imagine
Peace and joy everlasting
I can’t wait till it happens
We’ll see the Savior!!
Bridge by Eric McAllister (Repeat 2x)
What a day!! What a day!!
What a day!! What a day that day will be!
What a day!! What a day!!
We’ll see the Savior!!

Glory Thief and Glory King by Believin Stephen feat. Timothy Brindle from ‘Glory Thieves’ album
Produced by Alex Hitchens
First Verse- Believin Stephen- Glory Thief
I’m the accuser of the brethren, think you dudes will get to heaven?
It is futile to be steppin, can’t be shootin me with weapons
God’s truth I be detesting, and maneuvering and temptin
These fools who lack direction with these numerous deceptions
(Uhh) I’m not imaginary I am the adversary
Yea you don’t wrestle against flesh and blood like capillaries
But my attacks they vary, I’ll eave you in a casket buried
While cheesin like a pack of dairy, I don’t care, my actions scary
I’ll weigh you down with guilt with many heavy bags to carry
Can God forgive me? get that word out your vocabulary!
I’m jealous of God , I yell he’s a fraud, I tell you He’s wrong (Yeah)
The rebel is flawed, but clever in songs, the devil is strong (Yeah)
The Father of lies, the author is I, I offer you pride (Ugggh)
I bother your mind at awfulest times, you’re wanting to die
Attacking the sheep, the craftiest beast, you’re not alert I’ll drag you to sleep
Peep Adam and Eve, go back and read… Genesis the chapter is three
God told em to eat, but not from the tree of knowledge, nah don’t snack on that tree
Askin of Eve, what’s that happen to mean, really did God actually speak?
You truly won’t die, but you will be wise and be like God after you eat
I badly deceived, Adam received, Eve thought this is attractive to me
6—6—6- I know you’ve seen the digits (admit it)
I am evil wicked, now let me be specific
The angel of light, my way isn’t right, got dangerous might (What else?)
Satan’s delight is taking our sight away from the Christ (uggh)
And I’m not too busy, you could say I’m finding the time
To deceive unbelievers cause I am blinding their minds
Cause I want the shine to be mine, and so I’m blinding his kids
And stealing glory from God that is rightfully His (Gimme that!!)
I roam over the foreign seas, you can’t be ignoring me
It’s not just metaphorically, I’m the chief glory thief!
I’m already defeated but I’m fightin powerfully
I’m salty it’s completed wanna take you down with me!!
Wanna take you down with me!! Wanna take you down with me (echo)
Second Verse –Timothy Brindle- Glory King
I’m the opposite of you, O glory-thief!
Not giving you props when I say that you’re a beast
Though you’re the SERPENT, lurkin’, searchin’, hurtin’ urchin—
I predetermined you’re My servant (Job 41:1-4)
You exist for My Glory, though you have despised it
Your attempts to distort it, work to magnify it
Actually, the Glory of God—it can’t be stolen
It exists within the Trinity, though man with holds it.
We don’t rely and depend, if not a single guy would repent, the Father, Spirit, and I are content
But still, we designed a time that I would descend
To implode the kingdom of Satan like Allies in Berlin
So I binded the strong man who blinded all men
When I died for their sin, I’m Messiah who’d rise up again
By the Spirit’s Might and His strength,
Then I would ascend, to pour out the Spirit who gives new eyes to my kin
Now the Glory of God, they prize and defend,
So satisfied by it, they’ll lay down their lives in the end
Cuz I’m the One who said “LET THERE BE LIGHT” in Genesis 1:3, now into their hearts I shine it in them!
Humbled in flesh, I hung in My death, all because I love the elect
My lungs, they were spent, expunging their debt—I came to scrub their ugliest mess
Yes, by My blood they are kept, in Me they’re wonderfully blessed,
And you can bet- I came to fulfill every one of the texts!
Everyone stumblin’, fumblin’, hungerin,’ come and repent of ya grumbling,
And run unto Me for abundance of rest
But if ya shun Me ya get, a dungeon of stress, with tons of distress
I’m coming again every tongue will confess the Son is the Best!
On earth I loved God’s glory—abhorring what’s disgusting
Went to the Cross to uphold the Glory of His Justice.
My reward’s receiving all the Glory and the Honor
When I’m adored, it’s for the Glory of the Father!!!
Glory of the Father!! Glory of the Father!!(echo)
