And my affections upon the giver and not just the gift
That’s idolatry, I’m guilty I gotta admit
When I be prayin, I be demanding a great day
Sometimes in His purpose and plan, He lets the pain stay
If I don’t understand, will I start to nay say?
If I knew what He knew, I’d be answering the same way!
Even when God does delay and is distant
I still know that it is true, His grace is sufficient
If I had my way I’d be arranging it different
But gotta trust God though; in His way there is wisdom
